Troubleshooting

Verification failed?

  1. Make sure the plugin is enabled
  2. Clear your site cache
  3. Visit your homepage and view page source (right-click > View Page Source)
  4. Search for google-site-verification - you should see the meta tag
  5. Try verification again in Google Search Console

Still not working?

  • Wait a few minutes and try again (DNS changes can take time)
  • Double-check you copied the entire verification code
  • Make sure there are no extra spaces before or after the code

What's Next?

After verification, you can:

  • Submit your sitemap (usually at https://yourstore.com/sitemap.xml)
  • Request indexing for new products
  • Monitor search performance
  • Fix mobile usability issues
  • See which keywords bring traffic
