Delivery Methods

Purpose

Configure delivery/shipping methods available to customers (e.g., Standard Shipping, Express, Same-Day Delivery). These methods define how orders are fulfilled and shipped.

Accessing Delivery Methods

Navigate to: Delivery & Payments > Delivery Methods from the sidebar

List View

Delivery Methods List

The list displays all available delivery methods with their configuration status.

Table Columns

Name

  • Format: Text (up to 50 characters)
  • Purpose: Delivery method label displayed to customers during checkout

Auto Assign to Nearest Driver

  • Format: Icon toggle (checkmark = enabled, X = disabled)
  • Purpose: Whether orders using this method are automatically assigned to the nearest available driver

Disabled

  • Format: Icon badge (X = disabled, Check = enabled)
  • Purpose: Whether this delivery method is currently available for customer selection

Row Actions

  • Edit: Modify delivery method settings

Bulk Actions

  • Delete: Remove multiple delivery methods
  • Export: Export delivery method data to Excel/CSV

Creating a Delivery Method

Create Delivery Method

Click "New Delivery Method" to add a new shipping option.

Form Fields

Name Required

  • Type: Text input (max 50 characters)
  • Purpose: Display name for this delivery method
  • Examples: "Standard Shipping", "Express Delivery", "Same-Day", "Pickup"

Auto Assign to Nearest Driver Required

  • Type: Toggle switch (On/Off)
  • Purpose: Enable automatic driver assignment to nearest available driver
  • When On: System automatically assigns orders to closest drivers
  • When Off: Drivers must be manually assigned

Disabled Optional

  • Type: Toggle switch (On/Off)
  • Purpose: Temporarily disable this delivery method without deleting it
  • When On: Method is hidden from customer checkout
  • When Off: Method is available for selection

Create Actions

  • Create: Save and return to list
  • Create & Create Another: Save and open blank form for next entry
  • Cancel: Discard changes

Editing a Delivery Method

Click the Edit icon to modify an existing delivery method.

Changes take effect immediately and affect all future orders using this method.


Key Information

  • Method Names: Appear in customer checkout during order placement
  • Auto Assignment: Speeds up driver allocation when enabled
  • Disable vs Delete: Disable to hide from customers; delete to remove permanently
  • Required: At least one delivery method must be configured
  • Used In: Delivery Targets to set area-specific costs
