Country Access

Purpose

Control which countries can access your store. Set global restrictions to allow or block specific countries from shopping.

Accessing Country Access

Navigate to: System Settings > Country Access from the sidebar

This is a single configuration page (not a list). Configure your country access rules globally here.

Country Access Settings

Current Status

  • Enabled: Shows if country access control is currently active
  • Access Type: Shows whether you're using "Allow Only" or "Block" mode
  • Countries Configured: Shows which countries are affected by this rule

Configuring Country Access

Click Edit to open the configuration form.

Form Fields

Enable Country Access Control

  • Type: Toggle (On/Off)
  • Purpose: Activate or deactivate country-based access restrictions
  • When Off: All countries can access your store
  • When On: Access restrictions take effect based on settings below

Access Type Required (when enabled)

  • Type: Dropdown
  • Options:
  • Allow Only Listed Countries: Only selected countries can shop (whitelist mode)
  • Block Listed Countries: All countries except selected can shop (blacklist mode)
  • Purpose: Choose your restriction strategy

Countries Required (when enabled)

  • Type: Multi-select dropdown
  • Purpose: Select which countries to allow or block
  • Searchable: Yes - search by country name
  • Note: List reflects all configured countries in your system

Blocked Message

  • Type: Text area
  • Purpose: Message shown to users from blocked/restricted countries
  • Default: "Not available in your country"
  • Character Limit: No limit
  • Example: "Our store is currently not available in your region. Please check back soon!"

Saving Configuration

  • Save: Apply country access rules immediately
  • Cancel: Discard changes

How It Works

Allow Only Mode (Whitelist):

  • Only customers from selected countries can access the store
  • All others see the blocked message

Block Mode (Blacklist):

  • Customers from selected countries see the blocked message
  • All others can access the store

Key Information

  • Single Setting: Only one country access configuration exists (not per-store)
  • Global Scope: Applies to your entire store
  • Customer Experience: Blocked users see the message instead of store content
  • IP-Based Detection: System detects customer location from IP address
  • Checkout Impact: Can prevent checkout for users from blocked countries
