Products¶
Purpose¶
The Products page is your catalog management center where you manage your entire product inventory. This is where you create, edit, and organize all items available for sale in your store. Each product can have detailed information including pricing, descriptions, specifications, images, and inventory tracking to ensure customers have all the information they need to make purchases.
Accessing Products¶
- Navigate to: Catalog Management > Products from the sidebar menu
- Or click on the "Products" quick access card from the dashboard

Understanding the Product List¶
The product list displays all your products in a searchable, sortable table with the following columns:
ID - Unique product identifier number - Click to sort products by ID - Useful for referencing specific products
Name - Product name as displayed to customers - Click on the name to edit the product - Searchable field for quick product lookup
Category - The category this product belongs to - Helps organize products for customers - Click to filter by category
Image - Thumbnail preview of the product's main image - Gives quick visual reference - Empty if no image uploaded
Price - Current selling price of the product - Displayed in your default currency - Click to sort by price
Quantity - Current stock level - Shows how many units are available - Important for inventory management
Vendor - Shows which vendor owns this product - Useful in multi-vendor marketplaces - Empty for platform-owned products
Actions - Edit: Modify product details - View: See product details without editing
List Features¶
Locale Switcher - Switch between Arabic and English for product names/descriptions - Allows you to manage translations - Set separately for different languages
Search Bar - Search products by name, ID, or other attributes - Instant filtering as you type - Helpful for large catalogs
Toggle Columns - Customize which columns to display - Hide irrelevant information - Personalize your view
Bulk Selection - Checkbox to select individual products - Select all checkbox for bulk operations - Perform actions on multiple products at once
Pagination - Navigate through products in pages - Adjust items per page (5, 10, 25, 50, or All) - Page numbers for quick navigation
New Product Button - Click to create a new product - Opens the product creation form - Start adding items to your catalog
Exporting Products¶
Export product data in Excel or PDF formats for inventory management, reporting, or sharing with suppliers.
Export All Products¶
- Click the Export button in the header area
- Choose your format (Excel or PDF)
- All products matching current filters will be exported
Export Selected Products¶
- Check the boxes next to specific products
- Use the bulk action dropdown
- Select Export and choose your format
Exported Data: Product name, SKU, category, pricing, stock levels, status, and all visible table columns.
Creating a New Product¶
Click the "New Product" button at the top right. The product form is organized into eight comprehensive tabs:
Basic Information Tab¶

Basic product information and primary settings
Name (Required)¶
- The product name as shown to customers
- Make it descriptive and clear
- Should include key product features
- Examples: "Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 256GB", "Men's Leather Wallet Brown"
Permalink (Required)¶
- URL-friendly version of the product name
- Used in product page URLs (e.g., yourstore.com/products/samsung-galaxy-s24)
- Click "Generate permalink" to auto-create from product name
- Can customize for better SEO
Category (Required)¶
- Select the category this product belongs to
- Helps customers find products through browsing
- Choose the most specific category available
- Products can typically belong to one category
Image¶
- Upload the main product image
- This is the primary image shown in listings
- Recommended aspect ratio: 3:4 (portrait)
- Example size: 600×800px
- Supports common formats: JPG, PNG, WebP
Featured¶
- Toggle ON to mark this as a featured product
- Featured products get special visibility
- May appear in homepage sliders or featured sections
- Use for bestsellers or promotional items
Approved¶
- Toggle ON to make product visible on the store
- Toggle OFF to hide product from customers
- Useful for preparing products before launch
- Default is ON for immediate availability
Description Tab¶

Product descriptions and search terms
Short Description¶
- Brief summary of the product
- Displayed in product listings and previews
- Keep concise (2-3 sentences)
- Highlight key benefits or features
- Example: "Premium wireless headphones with active noise cancellation, 30-hour battery life, and exceptional sound quality"
Description¶
- Full detailed product description
- Rich text editor with formatting options:
- Bold, Italic, Underline, Strikethrough
- Headings and Subheadings
- Bullet lists and numbered lists
- Links and blockquotes
- Code blocks for technical specs
- Include product features, benefits, specifications
- Answer customer questions
- Can attach files or images inline
Search Terms¶
- Keywords customers might use to find this product
- Improves internal search results
- Not visible to customers
- Example: "wireless earphones bluetooth headset audio"
Pricing & Inventory Tab¶

Pricing, stock quantity, and inventory settings
Price (Required)¶
- Current selling price of the product
- Amount customers will pay
- In your default currency
- Include tax if your pricing is tax-inclusive
Old Price¶
- Previous or original price
- Shows as "was $X" crossed out
- Creates urgency and shows savings
- Leave empty if no discount
Cost¶
- Your cost to acquire/produce the product
- Not shown to customers
- Used for profit margin calculations
- Helps track profitability
Quantity (Required)¶
- Current stock level
- How many units available to sell
- Decreases automatically when orders are placed
- Set to 0 if out of stock
Unit¶
- Measurement unit for this product
- Examples: Piece, Kg, Liter, Box, Set
- Select from configured units
- Helps customers understand quantity
Max Quantity¶
- Maximum units a customer can order at once
- Prevents bulk purchases if needed
- Leave empty for no limit
- Example: Limit promotional items to 2 per customer
Min Quantity¶
- Minimum units required per order
- Useful for wholesale or bulk items
- Leave empty for single-item purchases
- Example: Minimum order of 10 units
Quantity Options¶
- Predefined quantity choices for customers
- Comma-separated values
- Example: "1,5,10,20" shows buttons for these quantities
- Simplifies ordering process
Item Round¶
- Rounding factor for quantities
- Useful for items sold in multiples
- Example: Round to nearest 5 or 10
- Leave empty for exact quantities
Disable Quantity Input¶
- Toggle ON to prevent customers from entering custom quantities
- Forces selection from Quantity Options only
- Useful for packaged or fixed-quantity items
- Toggle OFF to allow free quantity entry
Specifications Tab¶

Product attributes and technical details
Brand¶
- Manufacturer or brand name
- Select from configured brands
- Helps customers find favorite brands
- Example: Apple, Samsung, Nike
Mark¶
- Product mark or model designation
- Additional classification beyond brand
- Depends on your product type
- Example: For cars - Toyota Corolla
Part Model¶
- Specific model or part number
- Useful for automotive or spare parts
- Links to configured part models
- Helps in parts compatibility
Weight¶
- Product weight for shipping calculations
- In kilograms or your configured unit
- Used for delivery cost calculation
- Important for accurate shipping quotes
Year Manufacture From¶
- Starting year for product compatibility
- Useful for parts or accessories
- Example: "Fits 2018-2023 models"
- Leave empty if not applicable
Year Manufacture To¶
- Ending year for product compatibility
- Defines compatibility range
- Used with Year Manufacture From
- Leave empty for ongoing compatibility
Sales & Discounts Tab¶

Discount settings and sales options
Ignore Coupon¶
- Toggle ON to exclude product from coupon discounts
- Product won't be discounted when coupons are applied
- Useful for already-discounted or low-margin items
- Default is OFF (coupons can be applied)
Ignore Customer Level Discount¶
- Toggle ON to exclude from customer tier discounts
- VIP or wholesale customer discounts won't apply
- Use for special pricing or promotional items
- Default is OFF (level discounts apply)
Store¶
- Assign product to a specific physical store/branch
- Useful if managing multiple locations
- Select from configured stores
- Leave unselected for all stores
Vendor¶
- Assign product to a specific vendor
- For multi-vendor marketplace setups
- Vendor can manage their own products
- Select "No vendor" for platform products
Virtual Item List¶
- Link to a list of virtual/digital items
- For gift cards, vouchers, or digital products
- System delivers digital items automatically
- Leave empty for physical products
Delivery Within Minutes¶
- Estimated delivery time for digital/virtual products
- In minutes after purchase
- Sets customer expectations
- Only relevant for virtual items
Images Tab¶

Images¶
- Upload multiple product images
- Click "Add to images" to upload additional photos
- Show product from different angles
- Include detail shots and lifestyle images
- Customers can browse through gallery
- First image becomes main image if no image set in Basic tab

Item Order¶
- Display order number
- Lower numbers appear first
- Use to feature important products
- Default is 0 (no specific order)
Disabled¶
- Toggle ON to temporarily disable product
- Different from Approved - for maintenance
- Product won't be visible or purchasable
- Use when product needs updates
Status¶
- Product lifecycle status
- Select from configured item statuses
- Examples: New, Used, Refurbished
- Helps customers understand product condition
Code¶
- Internal product code or SKU
- For your inventory management
- Not always visible to customers
- Useful for warehouse operations
Product Contact¶
- Assign a specific contact for this product
- For customer inquiries about this item
- Falls back to default if not set
- Useful for specialized products needing expert support
Bidding Settings¶
- Configure if product allows bidding/auction
- Expandable section for auction features
- Enable for auction-style sales
- Set minimum bid, duration, etc.
SEO & Social Media Tab¶

Search engine optimization and social sharing
Meta Title¶
- Page title for search engines
- Appears in search results and browser tabs
- Recommended: 50-60 characters
- Leave empty to use product name automatically
- Include key product features and brand
Meta Description¶
- Description for search engine results
- Appears below title in search listings
- Recommended: 150-160 characters
- Leave empty to use short description automatically
- Compelling summary to improve click-through rates
Social Media Image¶
- Image shown when product is shared on social media
- Recommended size: 1200×630px
- Optimized for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn
- Leave empty to use main product image
- Should be eye-catching and include product clearly
Meta Keywords¶
- Comma-separated SEO keywords
- Optional field (less important for modern SEO)
- Include variations of product name
- Example: "bluetooth speaker, wireless speaker, portable audio"
- Helps with internal site search
Saving Your Product¶
After filling in the product information:
- Create: Save the product and return to the list
- Create & create another: Save and immediately start creating another product
- Cancel: Discard changes and return to the list
Editing Existing Products¶
To edit a product: 1. Find the product in the list 2. Click "Edit" or click directly on the product name 3. Make your changes in the appropriate tabs 4. Click "Save" or "Save & close"
Locale Management¶
Products support multiple languages: 1. Use the Locale dropdown at the top of the form 2. Switch to Arabic to enter Arabic product information 3. Switch to English to enter English product information 4. Each locale has separate Name and Description 5. Other fields (price, quantity) are shared across locales
Tips for Product Management¶
- Complete Information: Fill all relevant fields for better customer experience
- Quality Images: Use clear, high-resolution product photos
- Accurate Stock: Keep quantity updated to avoid overselling
- SEO Optimization: Write descriptive titles and meta descriptions
- Regular Updates: Review and update product information periodically
- Competitive Pricing: Monitor and adjust prices based on market
- Detailed Descriptions: Answer common customer questions in description
- Proper Categorization: Place products in the most specific relevant category
- Featured Products: Use strategically for promotions and bestsellers
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and reorder before running out
Product Quality Checklist¶
Before publishing a product, ensure:
