Analytics¶
Purpose¶
The Analytics Dashboard is your comprehensive reporting center, providing insights into store performance, customer behavior, and sales trends. This powerful tool helps you understand how customers interact with your store, which products are popular, and where your visitors come from, enabling data-driven business decisions.
Accessing Analytics¶
- Navigate to: Reports > Analytics from the sidebar menu
- Or click on any analytics widget from the dashboard for quick access

Time Period Selection¶
At the top of the analytics page, you'll find a Time Period dropdown that allows you to filter all data by specific date ranges:
Available Time Periods: - Today: Current day's data in real-time - Yesterday: Previous day's complete statistics - This Week: Current week from Sunday to today - Last Week: Complete data from the previous week - This Month: Current month from the 1st to today - Last Month: Complete data from the previous month - Last 7 Days: Rolling 7-day window - Last 30 Days: Rolling 30-day window - Custom Range: Select your own start and end dates
Selecting a time period updates all metrics, charts, and reports instantly to show data for that specific timeframe.
Key Performance Metrics¶
Total Visits¶
- Shows the total number of page views across your entire store
- Includes all pages: product pages, category pages, homepage, etc.
- Displays percentage change compared to the previous period
- Use this to track overall store traffic trends
Unique Visitors¶
- Number of individual visitors who visited your store
- Each person is counted once, regardless of how many pages they view
- Shows percentage increase or decrease vs previous period
- Helps measure your actual audience reach
Conversion Rate¶
- Percentage of visitors who completed a purchase
- Calculated as: (Orders ÷ Unique Visitors) × 100
- Critical metric for measuring store effectiveness
- Track this to evaluate marketing campaign success
Bounce Rate¶
- Percentage of visitors who left after viewing only one page
- High bounce rate may indicate poor landing page experience
- Shows "Single page sessions" count
- Lower bounce rates generally indicate better engagement
Top Products¶
- Quick count of products that received visits
- Shows how many different products customers viewed
- Helps gauge catalog engagement
Countries¶
- Number of different countries your visitors come from
- Useful for understanding your global reach
- Helps plan international shipping options
Performance Insights¶
The Performance widget shows additional engagement metrics:
Avg. Session Duration - Average time visitors spend on your store - Longer sessions typically indicate higher engagement - Use this to assess content quality and user experience
Pages per Session - Average number of pages viewed per visit - Higher numbers suggest visitors are exploring your catalog - Indicates good site navigation and product discovery
New vs Returning - Ratio of first-time visitors to returning customers - Shows customer loyalty and retention - Example: "65% / 35%" means 65% new, 35% returning visitors
Charts & Trends¶
Daily Visits Trend¶
- Line chart showing daily visit patterns
- Helps identify peak traffic days
- Useful for scheduling promotions and content updates
Monthly Visits 2025¶
- Bar chart showing monthly visit comparison
- Visualizes seasonal trends and growth patterns
- Plan inventory and marketing based on these trends
Sales Trend¶
- Visual representation of sales over time
- Track revenue patterns and growth
- Compare sales performance across different periods
Cart Actions¶
This section shows which products customers are adding to their carts:
- Product Name: Name of the product added to cart
- Count: Number of times the product was added
- Action Type: "added" (to cart)
Example: "Samsung Galaxy S24 - 8 added" means this product was added to cart 8 times during the selected period.
Use this to: - Identify popular products - Understand what customers are interested in - Compare cart additions to actual sales (conversion analysis)
Tab Navigation¶
The Analytics Dashboard includes four tabs for detailed breakdowns:
Overview Tab (Default)¶

Shows the main dashboard with all key metrics, charts, and widgets as described above. This is your starting point for understanding overall store performance.
Products Tab¶

Product performance analytics with visits and cart actions
The Products tab provides detailed analytics for each product:
Product Analytics Table:
- Product Name: Name of each product in your catalog
- Visits: Number of times the product page was viewed
- Add to Cart: How many times customers added this product to their cart
- Conversion Rate: Percentage of product page visits that resulted in cart additions
How to Use Product Analytics:
- Identify Top Performers: Products with high visits and high cart additions are your stars
- Find Optimization Opportunities: High visits but low cart additions suggest pricing or description issues
- Inventory Planning: Stock up on products with high conversion rates
- Marketing Focus: Promote products with potential but lower visibility
- Product Development: Understand what product types customers prefer
Countries Tab¶

Geographic distribution of your store visitors
The Countries tab shows where your visitors are located:
Country Analytics Table:
- Country: Name of the country
- Visits: Number of visits from that country
- Percentage: Share of total traffic from each country
Business Applications:
- Shipping Strategy: Focus delivery options on countries with high traffic
- Language Support: Add translations for countries with significant visitors
- Marketing Targeting: Run geo-targeted ads in high-traffic countries
- Currency Options: Support currencies from your main visitor countries
- Product Selection: Stock products popular in specific regions
Categories Tab¶

Category performance and visitor distribution
This tab provides insights into which product categories attract the most attention:
- Shows visit distribution across categories
- Helps understand customer interests
- Guides catalog expansion decisions
Tips for Using Analytics¶
- Check Regularly: Review analytics daily to catch trends early
- Compare Periods: Use time period selector to compare performance week-over-week or month-over-month
- Monitor Conversion Rate: This is your most important metric - track it closely
- Track Bounce Rate: High bounce rates on specific pages indicate problems to fix
- Follow Cart Actions: Products added to cart but not purchased need attention
- Geographic Insights: Use country data to plan international expansion
- Product Performance: Regularly review which products drive the most engagement
- Set Benchmarks: Establish baseline metrics to measure improvement over time
Understanding Data Patterns¶
High Visits + High Conversion = Success - These products are working well - Keep them in stock and promote them
High Visits + Low Conversion = Opportunity - Customers are interested but not buying - Check pricing, descriptions, or images - May need better product information
Low Visits + High Conversion = Hidden Gem - When visitors find it, they buy - Increase visibility through marketing - Feature in promotions or homepage
Low Visits + Low Conversion = Review Needed - Product may not match customer needs - Consider discontinuing or repositioning - Analyze if it's in the right category
Data-Driven Decision Making¶
Use analytics to:
- Optimize Marketing Spend: Focus on channels and campaigns that drive high-converting traffic
- Improve Product Mix: Stock more of what sells, less of what doesn't
- Enhance User Experience: Address pages with high bounce rates
